Joseph was born on October 5, 1979 in Winnipeg, MB. Joseph is survived by his mother Elaine Vanderlip; stepfather Jacob Sawatzky of Wetaskiwin; brother Dion (Stacey) Vanderlip of Cloverdale, BC; sister Tannis Vanderlip of Kelowna, BC; stepsiblings, Andy Sawatzky, Kevin Sawatzky, Wayne (Darlene) Sawatzky, Chantel Sawatzky, and Trevor Sawatzky; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins. Joseph was predeceased by his father Dennis Vanderlip; uncle Brian Vanderlip; and brother Clayton Vanderlip.
A funeral service was held for Joe, on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Baker Funeral Chapel, Wetaskiwin, AB.
An additional funeral service for Joe will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB) with interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery in Winnipeg.
In lieu of flowers, donations are gratefully accepted to Wetaskiwin Hospital and Care Centre, Long Term Care Unit, 6910 47 Street, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 3N3.
