CHRIS SENESHEN
(nee MOROZ)
July 6, 1945 - October 7, 2019
Our mom will be lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her daughters, Kim Prendergast (PJ) and Kelly Seneshen (Martin); grandchildren, Owen, Lucas, Lane, Levi and Grace; sisters, Darlene Moroz and Sandi Kosowan (Rick); brothers-in-law Lorne Seneshen (Carole) and Ben Blake (Margaret); sister-in-law Gloria Karsin (Grant); and her nieces and nephews.
Mom was predeceased by her loving husband of 51 years, Ivan Seneshen, parents, Mike and Helen Moroz, parents-in-law, Mike and Bella Seneshen, and her brother-in-law Bill.
Mom and Dad were inseparable and spent their marriage doing everything together. In retirement they discovered a love of travel and made many happy memories. Home was in Windsor Park where Mom and Dad spent over 50 years and became close with many great neighbours.
Mom worked at Canada Safeway for 26 years until her retirement in 2002. She enjoyed meeting people and chatting with customers, and she formed many life-long friendships.
Mom had a strong commitment to her faith and was an active member in the Catholic Women's League and St. Bernadette's Parish. Mom also belonged to the Red Hat Purple Attire Society and she shared an important bond with these ladies.
Family was everything to Mom and she cherished every moment with her loved ones. Mom was a dedicated grandmother and was always on the hunt for a special treasure for her grandkids. She often put the needs of others ahead of her own and Mom taught us that the real value in life is not in what you have but in what you give. Mom gave us a great example - we are grateful for her endless love, support and guidance.
We wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to friends and family for the outpouring of sympathy, friendship and love during Mom's illness and in recent days. Mom drew strength from all of you.
A special thank-you to all the dedicated health care professionals who gave great care and support to Mom and our family.
Flowers are gratefully declined. If desired, donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba in Mom's memory.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernadette's Parish, 820 Cottonwood Road on Wednesday, October 16, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Phil Daley.
Mom will forever be in our hearts.

We all loved having Chris in our ladies group. Even when she went through her chemo treatments or was down we encouraged her by phone calls or emails or she came out for lunch. Chris was such a special person, going through what this cancer was doing to her & still caring for others. We loved her sense of humour, love for others. When her home was robbed while they were on holidays, our ladies group gave her jewelry because she lost all hers. Such a great lady. - Posted by: Lorraine Hebert (Friend at Canadian Crown 👑 Jewel Society) on: Oct 12, 2019
