Olga was predeceased by her husband Steve; son-in-law Kelly Balak; parents, Joseph and Anna Bihun; brother Orest; brother Roman and sister-in-law Rose; and nephew Robert.

Olga was born on a farm in the Pine Ridge area on April 25, 1934. She went to Pine Ridge school and grew up a very hard working farm girl. Olga married Steve Chuckry in 1959. They settled on the Chuckry homestead in the Birdshill area where they raised their four children. Olga and Steve worked shoulder to shoulder in all aspects of their life together. This included their farming ventures at Birdshill, Portage La Prairie, and Stead, MB. Their hard work and strong work ethic led to the development of Chuckry Sod Farms.
Olga was a very loving person and wonderful homemaker. Olga had several passions including gardening, her flowers, and cooking/baking. The greatest joy of her life was caring for and being with her family. Nothing delighted her more than when family and friends would take time to visit with her. She will be missed by many.
Thank you to the home care staff and Concordia and Beausejour Hospital staff for their wonderful care and compassion they provided to mom.
Funeral will be held Friday, October 18 at 11:30 a.m., at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., Winnipeg, MB with interment to follow at the Ukrainian National Cemetery, Lorne Hill Road.

My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the passing of your mother. It has been a long while since I saw your mom but I remember the visits growing up when Olga and Steve would come for a visit. Your mom was an easy person to talk to and always had pleasant visits. She will be greatly missed. Your cousin Maryann Chuckry Calgary,Alberta - Posted by: maryann chuckry (cousin) on: Oct 13, 2019
