Our family met the Lafreniere's over 27 years ago, as we built homes near each other. Our families grew as we all added kids. We had the pleasure of meeting all the Lafreniere siblings, Florence, their aunts, uncles, cousins at different occasions that took place on our crescent.. whooosh.. they just kept coming. There were so many of them, but each and everyone of them, when introduced made you feel like family. Myself and my kids were always together with the Lafreniere's. Norm use to mow one of the Neighbours lawn and to say thank you to him the neighbour would give Norm & DL's kids treats, and then they would come to our house and give my kids treats too... we seriously think that neighbour thought we were one big family.. We played many games of dice, chase the ACE, and sat around countless bonfires talking, singing, but most of all laughing. Most of the time I sat next to Florence (mama bear , which I liked to call her), as I loved her one liner pokes she would blurt out. She made me laugh and laugh.. and once we got the giggles.. it went on for hours. but.. it never stopped.. when we saw each other at another function, her or I would bring up that last giggle night, and it would start all over again. The rest of the family would have no choice but to join in the chuckles as Florence had such an infectious smile and you laughed when she laughed. Our friendship was truly that of the saying "NEIGHBOURS BY CHANCE, FRIENDS BY CHOICE" Farewell. but not Good-Bye my friend. May you rest in peace xoxo Laurel, Chris, Daniel and Cayce Stefura - Posted by: Laurel Stefura (Friend) on: Oct 14, 2019
