Peacefully, in Montreal, on Friday, October 11, 2019, in her 103rd year.
Devoted and loving mother of Carole Worsoff (née Saifer) and Lorne Saifer; and mother-in-law of Michael Worsoff and Renee Saifer. Predeceased by her respective husbands, Maurice "Soapy" Saifer and Bruce Robins. Cherished Bubby of Mitchell, Karen and Marc (Alloul), Robert, Michelle, Rebecca, Samantha and Eric (Abrams). Proud great-grandmother of Louis and James Alloul, Miles and Julien Bitton, Michelle, Eve, Francine and Max Worsoff. Loving sister and sister-in-law of the late Irving and the late Fanny Charach, Myrna and the late Barney Charach, Myra and the late Judge Benjamin Goldstein, the late Gracie and the late Bill Granovsky; and sister-in-law of the late Davey Saifer, the late Sylvia and the late Monte Green, the late Harry and the late Judy Saifer. Ruth will be sadly missed by her loving nieces and nephews.
A special expression of gratitude and deep respect to her caregiver, Helen Grenade for her care, kindness and devotion.
Funeral service will take place at the Shaarey Zedek Synagogue, 561 Wellington Cres., Winnipeg, on Friday, October 18 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Shaarey Zedek Congregation Cemetery, Winnipeg, Manitoba. Shiva at her daughter's home in Montreal, on Wednesday and Thursday, October 23 and 24.
