TOM LIEWICKI
1933 - 2019

It is with deep regret that we announce the passing of Tom on October 4, 2019, at age 86.
Tom was predeceased by his wife Lovie in 2010; mother Nellie; father John; sisters, Kay and Elsie; brothers, Mike and Frank.
Left to mourn his passing are sisters, Mary and Jennie; and many nieces and nephews.
Tom spent most of his working life as an account executive at CJOB until taking an early retirement in 1990.
Tom and Lovie then spent many winters in Alamo, TX at the Alamo Country Club.
After Lovie's passing, Tom continued to spend winters at the club. He was a dedicated golfer, going as far as taking some lessons when he was 85, because he thought that he could get a little bit better.
Tom enjoyed getting together with family and friends at Rae and Jerry's, his favourite restaurant. He always liked a good joke and was known to tell a few himself.
He will be missed by family and friends and remembered for his generosity in support of many charities over the years.
In compliance with Tom's wishes, there will be no formal service.

  • Our deepest sympathy to Tom's family. Bob and I always enjoyed Tom's company whether it was down in Texas or here in Winnipeg. There were many golf games, get togethers for family events or just spending a quiet evening having dinner and enjoying a bit of gambling at the casino. • Dear Liewicki family, extending deepest sympathy on Tom's passing - very sad to see he passed away. On the occasions we spoke Tom was quick to talk about his love of the game of golf and his trips down south.
