GRACE BREWER
(nee PEPPER)
Mom, Grandma and GG (Great-Grandma) will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Bev Duncan and her children, Meghan (Dan) and Evan (Courtnie); son David (Judy) and their children, Christopher (Sabrina) and Melinda; and by her seven great-grandchildren, Mia, Emma, Marcus, Sophie, Julia, Cali and Jayme. She is also survived by several special nieces but was predeceased by both of her nephews.
Grace was born in Winnipeg, but grew up on the family farm in Swan Lake, MB with her parents, Maurice and Elizabeth; sisters, Thelma and Jean and brother Jim; all of whom predeceased her.
Grace met Bill Brewer who had moved from Alberta to live with his family in the district. Mom wasn't overly impressed at first but Dad convinced her that she was his one and only! They celebrated their 55th anniversary before his passing in 2002.
Grace started her working career like many in her generation at Eaton's Mail Order; held several other positions and ended as secretary in Quality Control with "her guys" at Standard Aero.
Family was the most important thing to Mom. She took great joy and pride in her children's and grandchildren's accomplishments and interests.
Although busy with work and family, Grace always found time to lend a hand whenever or wherever needed. She volunteered at St. Mark's Anglican Church and was very involved with the Ladies Auxiliary at the Royal Canadian Legion, Ft. Rouge Branch #97, serving as President four times!
The family extends a heartfelt thank you to the staff at West Park Manor for your care and compassion. Grace really appreciated all that you did for her.
As per Grace's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you share a smile and reach out a helping hand in memory of Grace.
The many life lessons she taught
will never be forgotten.

I knew Grace from Standard Aero when she worked in Quality Control. In fact we even sat together with her and Bill at some Standard Aero Christmas parties. She was a wonderful person and always looked and acted very professional. I respected her immensely. She was always very proud of her family. May she Rest In Peace. - Posted by: Darlene Kolafa (Co-worker) on: Oct 19, 2019
