FRANK MAGYAR
May 10, 1935 - October 13, 2019
Left to mourn are daughters, Sylvia (Armando Brambilla and family) and Susanne; grandchildren Jessie (Jennifer) and Lexie; great-grandson Bobby; Mary Magyar; Peter Magyar (Sandi); the Hegedus family (Toronto); and sister Vera and family (Slovenia).
Frank moved to Canada with cousin John Magyar in 1955. They joined St. Anthony of Padua Hungarian Roman Catholic Church on Burnell Street and were lifelong members. He was a tailor by trade but worked for Shaw Dental Lab for 40 years.
Dad was one of the kindest, most loving of fathers. He was humble, thoughtful, generous and a good neighbour.
He loved fishing, gardening, barbecuing and watching TV. We will forever miss his story telling and infectious laugh.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue, on Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at 10:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to The Salvation Army.

Just found out about Frank. Helluva guy - the last of the 4 amigos whose fishing stories generally outdid their catch. I still have to smile when I think about the time Frank broke his arm while fishing, and had the great misfortune to be fishing only with my dad. Dad had a driver's license (must have bribed the tester) and was nominated to drive home. After only a few miles, Frank, broken arm and all, had to take over the wheel. RIP Frank. Condolences to Sylvia and Susanne, our across-the-lane neighbors. - Posted by: richard pattinson (family friend) on: Jan 13, 2021
