STANICA KRASULJA
Lovingly known to all as Baka, she leaves to mourn in her passing her two daughters, Danika (Tony) and Mira, son George (Kim); eight grandchildren, Peter (Tish), Alex (Sarah), Samantha (Justin), Breanna (Jordan), Cassy (David), Rebecca, Gabi, Paige (Braydan), Taylor and Maryann; two great- grandchildren, Kaci and Maya; brothers, Petar (Nada), Pavle (Mica); sister Danica, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her father Simo, mother Stana, brother Vaso, brother-in-law Rade, and sister-in-law Drajica.
In 1953 she married her late husband Vaso and they lived happily until Dad's passing in 2003. Together they made a difficult decision in 1972 to leave the only life they knew in the former Yugoslavia and immigrate to Canada in hopes of a better life for them and their three children. For most of Baka's life she worked a full time job during the day and a part time job in the evenings and somehow still managed to prepare dinner for her family every night.
Baka always took pride in her family and made sure to host as many get-togethers at her home as she could. Everybody always looked forward to "Baka's Fried Chicken", soup and many delicious desserts, but mostly we looked forward to her gentle, loving presence.
Words alone cannot describe the huge void Baka's passing has created in our lives but the memories she left us with will help ease the pain. You will always live on in our hearts and thoughts.
A service will be held at the Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street on Thursday, October 24 at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Brookside Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to dad. Officiating the service will be Father Sinisa Milutinovic from the Saint Sava Serbian Orthodox Church.
Pallbearers will be Peter Dixon, Justin Swar, David Mandrick, Craig Brown, Wayne Hrabi, Mike Radchenka.
