Cremation has taken place and a funeral will be held in Rainy River, Ontario on Saturday, October 26 at 11:00 a.m. and a mass will be held in Steinbach, Manitoba on October 29 at 2:00 p.m.

A strong believer in his faith, he will be well received. He portrayed the image of his belief and this showed in the way he treated others. He was always kind to myself and my children and I am truly grateful for that and for having known him. He will always have a special place in my heart. Thank you Steve for being in my life. Uncle Steve was an absolutely wonderful man who always had a smile for everyone. I remember most how much he loved Auntie Gail and when they danced together, their love was reflected even more. They had a wonderful life together and I cherish the time that I got to visit Rainy River when I was little and even tried fishing with Uncle Steve.
