Mom was born in Germany and immigrated to Canada in 1955, raised a family and worked at Silver Heights Collegiate for over 25 years. In her retirement she loved to travel and spent much time in Germany with her husband and his family. Mom had many friends in Canada and abroad and cherished her time with them.
We wish to thank the staff of Winnipeg Regional Health Authority and the Riverview Health Centre Palliative Unit for the wonderful care they provided.

As per her wishes we will have a private family memorial followed by an open house for family and friends on November 10, 2019.

Condolences & Memories (1 entries)
I met Doris about a year ago when I moved into Kiwanis. I enjoyed our morning coffee when we would speak German. She was a lovely lady and I was very sad when she shared her prognosis with me. She had lived a very interesting life and we shared experiences of life in Germany. She was quiet, but very kind and special person to spend time with. I am very sorry I was unable to say goodbye to her..and thank her for correcting my German! - Posted by: Bronwen Yewdall (Neighbour) on: Oct 29, 2019
