CARMEN MELINA HOEBERG

Feisty right until the end, Carmen Melina Hoeberg passed away suddenly on Sunday, October 27, 2019 at the age of 88.
Carmen worked for Canada Revenue Agency for many years as a bilingual assessor. She was an avid collector of all things vintage and was known for her keen eye. In the last 24 hours of her life she was doing things she loved - playing TV bingo and watching curling.
Carmen will be fondly remembered by her daughters: Deborah, Karen (Mani) and Krista (Mark); grandchildren: Jodi (Attila), Ben (Corinne), Delza (Paul); and great-grandchildren: Leif, Hazel, Dorian, Jackson and Leo.
In memory of Carmen please consider making a donation to Siloam Mission, 300 Princess St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 1M3 which is what she would have wanted.

Condolences & Memories (3 entries)

  • I remember having coffee breaks with Carmen at the Winnipeg Tax Centre years ago. I remember her saying everyone should have a good laugh at least once a day. How wise is that! - Posted by: Dawn Hjalmarson (co-worker) on: Nov 05, 2019

  • Dear Krista, Karen, and Family, I am so sorry about your mother's passing. I know she was loved by all of you. Thinking of you with the sincerest of condolences. Love, Lezlie and Caitlin. - Posted by: Lezlie Brooks (Friend) on: Nov 03, 2019

  • Aunt Carm was a favourite aunt of mine. Over the years I was fortunate enough to know her as a young woman who entertained us as children in her home in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, later as a teenager in Moonbeam, and then as an adult in Kenora, Ontario and Winnipeg, Manitoba. She was the youngest and last surviving aunt from a large family of 13 children. I treasured her visits and loved her dearly. Rest in peace Aunt Carm. You touched my soul. - Posted by: Joan Penner (NIECE) on: Nov 02, 2019
