SAMUEL (SAM) UNGURAIN
July 28, 1928 - October 28, 2019

Peacefully, being held by his family and at the wonderful age of 91, Sam passed away from this life into the arms of His Saviour Jesus at Seven Oaks Hospital.
Sam was predeceased by his beloved wife Donita, and will be lovingly remembered by his son Jeffrey, his grandchildren, Elise, Michael, Jonathan, Jordan, Angelina, and great-grandson, Jude; daughter Jackie and her husband Paul, their children, Nathan (Charly), Rebecca, Rachel (Paul), Tessa (Jeffrey), and great-grandchildren, Hadley, Savannah and Reuben; along with his siblings and extended family.
Sam was born into a large and loving family in Shell Valley, Manitoba along with his 11 siblings. He married the love of his life Donita in 1958. Sam was a welder at Manitoba Bridge, then Selkirk Rolling Mills until his retirement. Sam had a beautiful faith in God and an amazing sense of humour. He loved reading his bible, the paper, watching the Blue Jays; but especially loved having family near. Sam struggled with Kidney disease for many years, which resulted in his loss of life.
Memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 5 at St. George Orthodox Church, 121 Harvard Ave. E., Transcona
In memory of Sam, donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.

  • Sam was a wonderful man. He had a love for life and a great sense of humor. He always wanted to see people having a good time. His love for his family was beyond measure, I was blessed to have been a recipient of that love. My deepest condolences to his family for their loss and to my children on the loss of their grandfather. Sam you're forever in my heart and you are truly missed. - Posted by: Michelle Gendron (Former daughter-in-law) on: Nov 03, 2019
