Date of passing: October 28, 2019

Peacefully, on October 28, 2019, Ann Matilda Donaldson, aged 86 years, passed away at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Ann is survived by her children, nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grand-children. She was predeceased by Edward (her husband of 61 years), parents, siblings, and her son, Leonard.
Ann was born in Linstead, Jamaica. She and Edward moved to England where they resided for several years and had three children. The family moved to Canada and settled in Winnipeg. The family gives thanks to those who made Ann's last years and days more comfortable, including the staff at St. Boniface ICMS; the staff of the Seven Oaks Hospital Dialysis Unit; and Ann's home care aides (especially Dorota and Lisa).
Services will be held at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357 Des Meurons Street, on Thursday, November 7, 2019. Viewing will occur at 9:30 a.m. A funeral service will occur at 10:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Green Acres Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Ann's memory may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Canadian Cancer Society.

  • I lived across the back lane from Mrs Donaldson for over 5 years. She was such a beautiful lady. Always gave me something from her garden. Sorry to hear about her passing. - Posted by: Moira smith (Friend) on: Nov 03, 2019
