ERMELINDO CARVALHO
Ermelindo was born in Val De Barreiras, Portugal on September 17, 1939. He was a loving husband of Maria Carvalho to which they shared 54 loving years, two sons, Lino and Luis, eight beautiful grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He was a beloved brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, uncle, cousin and best friend to many.
He was a hardworking and determined man, on his days off he loved to spend time with friends and family playing cards and going to his favourite local Portuguese clubs. He brought tons of laughter to all who knew him. Although this was a very sad event he is now resting peacefully with God and family.
Donations in Ermelindo's honour will be made out to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada and CancerCare Manitoba.
Prayers will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, 181 Austin Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 7:00 p.m. Funeral liturgy will be held on Friday, November 8, 2019, at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Holy Family Cemetery, 4355 Main Street.

I was sad to hear of his passing. I always knew him as Caravalho since I could talk. My fondest memories of him were when he and my dad would play cards and the arguments they had we quite intense at times but always made for good laughs. I can’t thank him now, but thank you for being a terrific friend to our family in the good times and bad which life threw our way. I hope now you pain is over and you are at peace.
