Condolences & Memories (8 entries)
To the Lamontgne family, I'm sorry to read of your loss. Mr. Lamontagne was like the big kid on the block. He always encouraged the neighborhood kids to play in the puddles after a good downpour and instigated many water fights! The back yard ice slide and tree house that required arm power to get into will always bring a smile to my face. Many of my childhood memories were happy ones because you lived next door. We were blessed to have known you growing up. - Posted by: Denise (née Paul) Schimnowski (Our next door neighbor when I was growing up) on: Dec 03, 2019
Heather and family, so sorry to hear of your precious husband and father's passing. I received a call from Marie and immediately felt your loss. I know you advised me of his illness and that he was going into long term care but that does not lessen the pain and sorrow you feel at this time. Even though I have been gone from Manitoba for many years I still feel Marie and you are great friends. Nothing more can be said to ease your burden; only his memory with you will remain forever in your hearts. Call me or message me anytime Heather - maybe it will help in some small way. Love and Prayers Melvina and Dennis - Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. - Posted by: Melvina and Dennis Myer (Childhood friend and husband) on: Nov 17, 2019
Dear Heather and family, We are saddened for you loss of precious Brian. We met you both when Harm was the Superintendent at 141 Wellington Crescent. We keep you in our thought and prayers as you grieve Brian's loss and mourn his absence in your lives. May you always treasure the memories that you have made and shared with Brian 💞. - Posted by: Claudette Moquin & Harm Bouwman (Acquaintances) on: Nov 12, 2019
Roger and I (Cécile) went across the street to play with Brian when we first moved across the street from the Lamontagnes on "la rue Traverse." I was nearly 5 years old and Roger was 4 years old. We only spoke French and Brian only spoke English. So Roger said, "no use playing with him, he understands NOTHING!" We played games outside throughout our young ages, no matter what season. "Hide and seek," Tresure Hunts with maps written in the dirt with a stick, and tag, etc. I don't remember any of us ever fighting or bullying or swearing. Our parents called us in only when it was time for bed as we were encouraged to stay outside even on dark and wintry days. We had loads of fun! - Posted by: Ronald (Ronnie) Lamontagne et Heather (Friends since the Roger, Edmée and I (Cécile) moved across the street from Brian's home in 1944) on: Nov 06, 2019

Our family has many wonderful memories of a fun guy😊. No more Xs on lawn to promote cutting😊😊. I remember and our three sons do too when Brian would rake a huge pile of leaves only to have our boys invited to spread them all again. RIP Brian as you surely deserve it. Love from us Heather, Micheline, Edouard, Ron and extended family - Posted by: Louis and Darlene Fisette (Friends ) on: Nov 06, 2019
