ANASTAZJA PETRYK
December 28, 1928 - November 4, 2019

Anastazja was born in Korolowka, Poland. In 1954, she married Pawel Petryk. Living through the upheaval of war, and the loss of their young child Elizabeth, had a great effect on her in her early years. Her faith sustained her and her family through these many hardships.
Immigration to Canada marked a new beginning for her and her young family. Anastazja worked tirelessly in sewing factories and in food services for over 30 years. At home, she was an avid gardener, assistant beekeeper, chief tailor of the household and an amazing cook and hostess! Her devotion to her family was unconditional and she was passionate about her children and especially her grandchildren.
In the midst of so many changes and uncertainties, her faith was the one thing that remained constant: it was the bedrock of her life. It was this faith which continued to sustain her as her health declined severely over the last decade. Through all of her life events she had a deep sense of Jesus' presence with her, and especially in her final years. Anastazja was so looking forward to her new home in heaven!
A funeral service took place on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Whyte Ridge Baptist Church.
