Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to Cynthia & family. I have very fond memories of Stan & his sister Lois. I used to go to the old Ampitheatre to watch Stan play junior hockey. If my memory serves me correctly he played for the Monarchs. I can remember he scored 6 goals in one game. He gave me his hockey gloves when I was about 10. He was 10 years older but I looked at him as my big brother. He would take me to Styles on Portage when he lived on Ashburn & buy me sundaes or milk shakes. His parents Ida & George are resting beside my parents Charlie & Madge & my dear wife Nina at Chapel lawn. Great family. - Posted by: BRIAN TAYLOR (cousin) on: Nov 09, 2019

  • To Cynthia & family I offer my sincere condolences on the passing of Stan. My fondest memories of Stan was going to the old amphitheatre on Moston Pl. to watch Stan play junior hockey . I can remember him scoring 6 goals in one game. He was a great hockey player & when I was around 9 or 10 he gave me his leather hockey gloves. I treasured those. He used to take me for sundaes at Styles just on Portage & Ashburn. Stan's parents Ida & George are at rest next to my parents Madge & Charlie & my beloved wife Nina at Chapel Lawn. Grant us the serenity to accept the things we cannot change & the wisdom to know the difference. - Posted by: BRIAN TAYLOR (cousin) on: Nov 09, 2019
