EVELYN AGATHA LEVENE

Evelyn Agatha Levene, nee Harper, aged 83 years, died peacefully on October 29, 2019 at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg, MB, after a courageous battle with diabetes.
Evelyn was born on March 30, 1936 in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica to Beryl Harper. She was adopted by Clara May and Louis Clarke and lived in Mahoney District, St. Andrew. She immigrated to Winnipeg, MB and worked as a social worker.
She is survived by her son Byron, six grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. She loved watching television and had a passion for sports especially tennis and wrestling and enjoyed eating fine foods. She cared deeply for her cats, Molly and Baby. Evelyn was a very caring person and touched many lives with her generosity.
Family and friends are invited to attend a graveside service on Tuesday, November 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue.
