GEORGINA MARIE LEMOINE
(nee HASLUND)
April 2, 1925 - November 9, 2019

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Georgina Marie Lemoine.
Georgia grew up on a farm just west of Inwood, MB. She married Henry in 1945 and they built a house in Inwood. They raised two children, Gail and Glenn. She was a member of the Women's Institute in Inwood and helped out with many community activities over the years. She was an Avon Representative for over 40 years. She was very proud of her Danish roots. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and was always eager to hear new stories about the great-grandchildren.
Georgia was predeceased by her parents, Chris and Maria Haslund, her brother Arne and infant brother Raymond; her sisters, Dorothy, Ruth and Signe; her husband Henry, son-in-law Ivan, and infant grandson Garth.
She is survived by her daughter Gail, her son Glenn (Sandra); grandchildren, Brent (Monique), Dana, Michelle (Ryan), Krista (Phil); and great-grandchildren, Amilie, Olivia, Yannick, Ruby, Charlie and Ellie. She will be missed by all of us.
Thank you to all the staff at Heritage Lodge and the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)

  • My sincere condolences to Gail and Glen and families to hear of Georgia’s passing. She was a good friend to my mom and spoke to me about how much she missed mom after her passing. I’ll always remember Georgia at Christmas when we would go carolling and she would invite the whole group in to her living room to listen to our mediocre but enthusiastic singing. She was always very gracious about it. I will miss her. Janet Bisch - Posted by: Janet Bisch (Neighbour and friend) on: Nov 15, 2019

  • Our sincere condolences to Glen and Gail. I remember the Sunday travel to Inwood every weekend to spend time with my grandparents and occasionally with your mom and dad. She was a wonderful cousin to my dad and he spoke often of time they had together growing up in Inwood. Jim & Shirley Haslund - Posted by: Jim & Shirley Haslund (Cousin ) on: Nov 14, 2019
