Condolences & Memories (6 entries)

  • Doreen and family I am so sorry for your loss. I had left for California or I would have attended Larry’s funeral. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn the loss of your loved one. Larry lived a long life, and you will all miss him very much. I still have my loon mom bought for me. His memory will go on for ever. Hugs and warm wishes to you all. • I first met Larry and Doreen through my late husband, Leonard. We spent countless, countless hours playing cards. I fondly remember Larry's parents, who also loved playing cards. Everyone was welcome and if the crowd became too large, well, another table was simply set up to accommodate all. Larry was very talented in his woodworking and gave us a hand carved and painted loon at least 40 years ago. I fondly remember the many visits. Larry and Doreen would come over and we would just chat - Larry had many tales that would always fill the room with laughter. My sincerest condolences to the family. May God bless you and that you find peace and comfort knowing how loved Larry was. Joey Lavallee - Posted by: Joey Lavallee (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2019

  • I will miss my cousin. I am glad me and my sister Sharan went to visit him a couple months ago. He told us so many stories and showed us pictures about old days which we really enjoyed. He liked telling us too cause he liked to talk, We went to door 3 times and he got us back to show us more stuff. I will miss him. - Posted by: Darlene Monette (cousin) on: Nov 14, 2019

  • Our condolences to the family in your time of grief. It's hard to lose a loved one so dear to you. Larry was a generous man, as you all know. He loved to make miniature wooden toys of subjects he loved, namely western figures and scenes. The thing is he gave them away to people he regarded as friends. He expected nothing in return. I met Larry through music, he was a country music lover and had a brother Alex that provided that for him. He was very proud of him. I sometimes played and sang with Alex, Larry really enjoyed those times. I know he'll be listening to country music in heaven looking down on Alex waiting for a comment or two from him as usual. That was their little game they played. We're all going to miss you Larry. Dollard - Posted by: Dollard & Margaret Menard (friend) on: Nov 14, 2019
