BRIGID (BRIDIE) TERESA BROWN
(nee LOGUE)
August 27, 1936 – November 10, 2019

It is with great sadness, that the family of Bridie Brown announces her sudden passing on Sunday, November 10, 2019 at the age of 83 years.
Bridie is predeceased by her daughter
Janet Arnold, her parents, Daniel and Brigid Logue, and her sister Kathleen.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 63 years, Stan, and her children, Don
(Melody), Carol Sliboda (Steve), Stanley
(Tracy) and son-in-law Brian Arnold. She is also survived by her sisters, May, Sadie, Una, Marion and her brother Neil. She will be
fondly remembered by her grandchildren, Shannon, Jennifer (Sheldon), Danielle, Jamie (Tyrone), Kelsey, Shaun (Daphne), Emily and Riley. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren, Hailey, Braylon, Keenan, Kameron, Ryan and Declan. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and extended family in Ireland, the UK and the United States.
Born in Donegal, Ireland, Bridie moved to Derry, Northern Ireland at the age of 14 years. She met Stan at the Guildhall and they were married in 1956. They immigrated to Canada in 1968 with their four children and eventually settled in Winnipeg. She spent all of her working life in Canada working for Gordon Hotels. Her favourite pasttime was her daily walks to Kildonan Park to sit on her favourite bench by the creek. Her and Stan enjoyed 15 years of retirement, driving out to A&W in Lockport every day; rain, snow or shine. Bridie was a private person, and
although stubborn, she gave selflessly, and loved her family unconditionally.
Our entire family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Kildonan Personal Care Home for the wonderful care mom received in the last few years of her life.
A Funeral Mass for Bridie will take place on Saturday, November 16, at 2:00 p.m. at the Holy Redeemer Roman Catholic Parish, 264 Donwood Dr., Winnipeg, MB R2G 0W5 with reception to follow in the church reception centre. A private family interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bridie's name to Heart & Stroke
Foundation.
