My deepest sympathies go out to all the family during this difficult time. Adele was a kind, friendly and forgiving person who was loved by all who knew her. She always found the good in everyone she met and touched many lives. She will always be remembered and cherished. - Posted by: Toni Marks (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2019

I wanted to take a moment to share how our friend Adele.(aka: little Adele) made an impression on my heart. Adele primarily played shuffleboard at Club 60 in their Tuesday House League. After an introduction to the world of River City Shuffleboard and a little coaxing from her other half (Adele M) she could be found somewhere in the crowd at many (almost all ) of our tournaments. She was always ready to step up and play, but was content with being my “odd ball” (you all know what I mean). She obviously couldn’t get enough shuffleboard as she joined the Weston Summer League, the Weston Friday Fun League and even frequented the Rouge’s drop-in Wednesday shuffleboard fun. If you ever had the pleasure of meeting her or spending some time around her the word “spitfire” would come to mind. She was very polite, quiet, but had a big heart and a quality I wish I had more of: sportsmanship. It seems trivial, but she had an abundance of it. She was always cheering people on. Competitors or teammates…. Around Adele, if you made a good shot, she let you know. She’d even get up and shake your hand (high-fives were a challenge). As a partner, she tried her best and you could tell she was disappointed if…. Sometimes, things didn’t go according to plan (damn those mental hazards!!!). As her friend, seeing her light up when she made that winning shot…. Well…. That’s what makes this hard. I will miss her greatly and unfortunately cannot make it to her service, but I hope you, her friends, can. - Posted by: Lawrence Coté, President, River City Shuffleboard (Friend) on: Nov 15, 2019

My condolences to the family. Adele was a wonderful person. We had many conversations enjoying our bad habit. Rest in peace, Adele. - Posted by: Bernice Beaulieu (Co-worker many years ago and then luncheon friend from Wellington School) on: Nov 14, 2019

Our little Adele has sadly been taken from us too soon and when she was just gettin' going. I know Adele through Shuffleboard and she has been a dear friend of mine for the last 3 years. If anyone could be relied upon, it was this lady...a true friend who never complained and always put others ahead of herself. Adele and I shared many moments as we drove from one of her/our many activities around the city. Her smiling face and uncomplicated manner was always just want we needed - I'm honoured to have been someone she confided in. Many of her closest friends have been coming together and remembering her for the wonderful, kind and loving friend that she has been and we shed our tears and remain saddened knowing she is watching from above (or recruiting her own shuffleboard team in Heaven). Some funny things I'll always remember: No matter where we went, Adele was a champion recruiter for shuffleboard. She always struggled doing up her seat belt. She liked 'free' food and I often teased her about bringing a doggy bag. She liked to steer the shuffleboard rocks down the board once released and we would encourage each other to 'shake it off' when we had disbelief in our own abilities. A big ole 'Fiddle Faddle or Fuddle Duddle' to you, Adele. We will cherish our memories and remember you fondly; you're a part of all whom you touched but I wish we had one more day to talk. Always your friend...with love, Dale. - Posted by: Dale Scott (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2019

Sorry for your loss. Adele was a kind friendly person who would always stop and say hi. My family shared drinks, karaoke and lots of laughs at Club 60 on Saturdays with Adele. She will be missed. - Posted by: Gary Lang (Friend) on: Nov 14, 2019
