BRIAN GEORGE LEDUCHOWSKI
April 4, 1956 - October 9, 2019
He is survived by his mother Ruth Leduchowski (Gosling), brother Ken Leduchowski sister Sharon Champagne, sisters-in-law, Margaret, Linda,, Renee, nieces, nephews and friends.
He was predeceased by his father William Leduchowski, and brothers, Wayne, Norman, Murray (Ledd).
Brian was born in Winnipeg. After high school he worked at Assiniboia Downs Race Track for 13 years an as equipment operator. Then in 1991, decided to leave Winnipeg for Vancouver Island. He started working for Air BC now called Air Canada Jazz as a ramp attendant. He worked there from December, 1991 to January, 2017 and retired. He then did some part time work. He really enjoyed living in Victoria, he said he didn't miss the cold winters in Winnipeg. He enjoyed all sports and when visiting Winnipeg would go see a Bomber game. He owned a beautiful 1957 two door Chevrolet Bel Air Sport sedan (hope I got it right Brian), for years, but recently sold it. Wish he would of passed it down to family instead, so we could ride it in his memory.
We will miss his phone calls and visits to Winnipeg. Rest in peace Brian, you suffered too much.
We would like to thank the doctors and staff at Royal Jubilee Hospital, also a very good friend of Brian's, Richard McKay, for saving Brian's life back in April and for visiting him often while he was in the hospital suffering with cancer.
Cremation has taken place. No formal service.
Chapel Lawn Funeral Home.

I had the pleasure of working with Brian for a few years. A great guy to work with, hardworking, quick to laugh, I'm going to miss you "Soft Hands". - Posted by: Alan Coupland (coworker) on: Nov 29, 2019

I had worked with Brian for his entire career at Air BC. He is one of the hardest workers on the ramp. Brian was an extremely hard worker and was well liked by his peers. His work ethic was fantastic. I worked as a Customer Service Agent and could always rely on Brian when things needed to be done. About a couple of years before he retired, he had started complaining about how physically hard the job was becoming. Both Brian and I retired on the very same day. I was also the lucky guy that he sold the 57 Chevy to😎! I’ve resurrected the car back to the way he had built it in 1974 but made it more drivable replacing many parts. I know Brian would be proud to see it now that it’s brought back to it’s former glory. It’s like a time capsule fro the 70's!! He truly will be missed and may he rest in peace. I worked with Brian at Air BC and Air Canada Jazz since he started in Victoria until February 2016. Brian had a humble demeanour about him and was always there to give you a hand. I was in shock when I heard of his passing. My thoughts and prayers go out to you at this time. Heather Gilmore - Posted by: Heather Gilmore (Friend) on: Nov 17, 2019

Brian was a hardworking, dedicated employee & a real pleasure to work with at AC Jazz Victoria. We used to talk about the weather in Winnipeg, being we were both from there. Brian was a good person & I enjoyed working with him! Rest in Peace, dear Brian - no more suffering. - Posted by: Angela Cooper (Co-worker at AC Jazz Victoria) on: Nov 17, 2019

Rest In Peace Uncle Brian. I know you are with Wayne, Murray, and Norm now catching up and watching us from heaven. I will remember our gatherings and how much fun we had. You no longer have to suffer but we’re taken from us way too soon, as we’re the rest of your brothers. Rest In Peace and miss you. Miss all of my uncles. Love Candice. - Posted by: candice champagne nguyen (niece) on: Nov 16, 2019
