To Rob’s Family, I was part of the gang at Bombay Bicycle Club that was fortunate to know Rob and say he was a friend. For a few short years our lives crossed paths We not only played ball, but partied late into the night, had trips to Grand beach, went to hockey games, spent many hours talking and enjoyed being young. He was such an amazing kind , caring , genuine person. I have thought of him many times over the years. We once again met up years back and spoke of getting together to catch up . I am so very sorry we never did. I will always remember his smile, his kind nature, his love for his family. So sorry for your loss . Sabine - Posted by: Sabine Dyregrov (Old friend) on: Apr 08, 2020

It was with a very heavy heart that heard Robbie had passed and my thoughts go out to all his family and friends. He was a Prince of a man, the gentle giant. We first met in 1985 as part of the team that made the Bombay Bicycle Club the #1 Bar/Restaurant in Winnipeg for the next 2.5 years. We worked hard, we played hard, we played baseball together, we golfed together, we just enjoyed spending time together. I trusted Rob implicitly with our friendship and our work life, doing business with Chicken Delight at the old Winnipeg Arena and then kept in touch as his career progressed with The Original Pancake House and the MTS Centre. Rob was honest as the day is long, worked so incredibly hard and I know had the ultimate respect of all those who he worked with. All of this and one of the most intellectually gifted people I’ve ever met. It’s a very sad day...Rest peaceful gentle soul...hit’em long and straight buddy. Robert was a great manager for me and a good friend. Always had a smile and kind words for everyone he contacted. We would call and text each other when I retired on a few years ago. It was truly a blessing that I was able to visit with him a month ago in Winnipeg. He will be truly missed by everyone he touched. - Posted by: Mark Pevan (Friend) on: Nov 18, 2019

Very sorry to learn of Rob’s passing and our condolences go out to his family and friends. He truly was larger than life and loved living it. He was deeply passionate about the work he did and it showed. Though in recent times, we only had the chance to catch up during our visits to Winnipeg, and of course that included seeing Rob at the Original Pancake House, where he always had a story to share. We will miss you Rob. Andrew and Marnie New Delhi, India - Posted by: Andrew and Marnie Smith (Friend and fellow Scorpio!) on: Nov 16, 2019
