CAROLE ANN BARON
Carole Ann is survived by Ted, her husband of 58 years; her daughter Jennifer of Toronto; and her two wonderful grandsons, Thomas and Nicholas Montemarano. Carole Ann was predeceased by her parents, Clifford and Muriel Cory of Virden, MB; and her sister Ardith MacVicar of Calgary.
Carole Ann grew up in Virden and moved to Winnipeg to attend Balmoral Hall School. It was there that she quickly showed her leadership skills by becoming Head Girl of Residence and formed many lifelong friendships. Carole Ann was never happier than when surrounded by family and friends. She always had time for the people in her life and they always felt special in her presence. Her greatest joy was spending holiday time with family.
Carole Ann's kind spirit was felt through her various charitable endeavours. She was a long time supporter of Balmoral Hall School, a member of the Board of Directors for the Manitoba Theatre Centre, as well as many other worthy organizations. She always gave her support to those in need.
Ever the fashionista, Carole Ann brought a sense of style to the community with her clothing store Comfort and Joy. She will always be remembered for her various hair colours, her big smile and fantastic sense of humour.
A special thank you to her dedicated care-giver Verlina Aquino and the entire team of doctors and nurses at Seven Oaks Hospital.
A celebration of her life will be held on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Westminster United Church, 745 Westminster Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donations to the Arthritis Society or the Balmoral Hall School Endowment Fund.

So sorry to hear of Carole Ann's passing, fond memories of her vibrant personality and zest for life in our teenage years at VCI, and many shared car rides back and forth on weekends between Winnipeg and Virden...sad that geography and busy lives means we have not seen each other in intervening years, but memories of those days and her friendship remain strong, my sincere condolences to her family and friends...💕 - Posted by: Carol (Beamish) Yushchyshyn (High school friend) on: Dec 06, 2019

So sad to hear of Carole Ann's passing! Back in the 80's Carole Ann, Ted and Jennifer's pool parties were not to be missed. It seems like a lifetime ago that a gang of us would hang out in their backyard where Carol Ann could always be heard laughing while treating us like family. I recall her regularly daring me to push the formidable Ted into the pool which always resulted in me learning how deep the pool was. She was a great lady. My deepest condolences. - Posted by: Chris Patts (Friend from the 80's) on: Nov 23, 2019
Carole Anne was the most special friend you will ever have! She was that way for me. Whenever I saw her it was so much fun. She was always so interested in everything I was doing. We could talk for hours. It will not be the same without her. I wlll think of you often dear friend. - Posted by: Patti Turnbull (Friend) on: Nov 22, 2019

This hurts. I’m sending you the most empathetic vibes possible. I just lost my mom and it’s like a surrealist painting from Salvador Dalí—realized. Grief comes in waves, I’d indiscriminately cruel but if honed, May provide catharsis. I grieve alongside you as your mom only ever wanted to provide all things good for you. You rock! ...and your mom always knew that. I send you my deepest condolences and if there is anything that you need, just name it & you got it. May light perpetual shine upon your mom forever. —Amen🎶🙏🤱 (Post Script: There’s a huge resemblance between you and your mom. - Posted by: Kathleen Thompson (Alumni) on: Nov 19, 2019

She had a great sense of humour. Will always remember her joke of (two guns with no guns) - she was laughing so much that we could not hear the punch line. - Posted by: Wendy & Bill Austing (Friends) on: Nov 17, 2019
