June 30, 1943 – November 11, 2019

We sadly announce the sudden passing of our mother Myra Amer, with family by her side, at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 76 years.
Myra will be lovingly remembered by sons, Darryl and Patrick (Joanna); as well as family and friends. She is also survived by her brother Al (Jocelyn).
Myra was born in Brandon, Manitoba, the youngest of four, and soon moved to Winnipeg. She met her husband Glen, predeceased (2016), and were married for 50 years. Myra was a very thoughtful, generous and caring person with a great sense of humour that we will all miss.
In keeping with Myra's wishes, a private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date, and she will be laid to rest with the love of her life.
In lieu of flowers, family and friends may donate to the Winnipeg Humane Society.

Rest in Peace Mom
Missed but never forgotten

  • It was a shock to hear you have left us all so suddenly. We have so many fond memories but you will most be remembered by your calm & down to earth presence at family gatherings. Along with your love for cats. We know you are now at home with Uncle Glen. We will miss you terribly. - Posted by: Ed & Nancy Buchan (Nephew & wife) on: Nov 17, 2019

  • On behalf of the Martin family we offer our condolences. Myra and Glen were a very big part of our lives at the lake for many years. We spent many, many times together and looked forward to seeing them every spring. I am sure Mom and Dad would have alot of great stories to tell about Myra and Glen. Myra was a wonderful woman and will truly be missed by many. May she rest peacefully! - Posted by: Joanne Somers (Friend) on: Nov 16, 2019
