Condolences & Memories (7 entries)

  • To: Coleen, Bianca and Johnathan: And Allan's Siblings & Extended Family. On behalf of Beatrice, Jared and I, we offer our condolences to you on the passing of a very dear friend, Allan. I was very sad on hearing of his passing. We did not meet very often, but whenever we do it was very meaningful. Farewell Allan. You're now in God's Kingdom! - Posted by: Ny Narine (Friend/Fellow Cricketer) on: Nov 25, 2019

  • Colleen, I’m sorry to hear of Allan’s death. My condolences to you and your family. - Posted by: Derek Fraser (Victoria, BC) (Friend) on: Nov 23, 2019

  • My sincerest condolences to Allan’s family and friends. I grew up knowing Allan as he had played many years of cricket with my Dad. He was a hallmark bowler. I recall he always took his maximum steps for his run off as he bowled. It seemed everyone held their breath in anticipation of his delivery. He was one of the best bowlers for Manitoba’s cricket league and I have yet to see anyone match his ability. He will be sadly missed. - Posted by: Vanessa Katwaroo-Gledson (Friend ) on: Nov 22, 2019

  • My sincere condolences to Colleen and the Morrison family. I had the pleasure of playing my cricket against Allan in the late 80’s 90’s. Allan was a soft spoken, gentle soul, who would stop to chat after games end. He was very humble and encouraging to younger cricketers. As a young player, I looked up to Allan and admired him for being a gentleman on and off the field. - Posted by: Bobby Jaikaran (Friend ) on: Nov 21, 2019

  • Allan was one of the most wonderful people I had the pleasure of knowing as a fellow cricketer, mas player and simply just a friend. Always welcoming, caring about others, humble and overall gentle demeanor. To his family, my wife and I share your loss and will treasure his memory. - Posted by: Michael Antonio (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2019

  • It is with profound sadness and shock that I learnt of the death of my friend Alan. I met Alan in the 80's when I came to Canada and found cricket, but we really became friends when we volunteered at the Caribbean pavilion during Folklorama. We enjoyed each other's company and he told me how mad he was at me when, during a game I drove the ball right back past him for 4. He got back at me though when I told him that, while visiting Trinidad for Carnival, I went out on Carnival Sunday night dressed to the nines. He laughed at me for my stupidity and we were even. We had not seen much of each other over the years but we would always "old talk" whenever we met. Colleen, on behalf of my family and myself, sincerest condolences to you. I can't imagine how much you will miss Alan, because I miss him already. Victor - Posted by: Victor Vaughan (Friend) on: Nov 19, 2019

  • My deepest condolences and sympathies to Allan’s family and friends. I had the pleasure to spend a lot of time with Allan on and off the cricket field during the 80s and early 90s playing for Cosmos Sports Club. Our last conversation was in Summer 2019 at the GAM picnic. RIP Allan. - Posted by: Mahendra Ramrattan (Friend and fellow cricketer) on: Nov 16, 2019
