LORRAINE MARGARET HOEPPNER
June 22, 1933 - Seven Sister Falls, MB
November 10, 2019 - Calgary, AB
Lorraine will be sorely and deeply missed by her son, David Ronald Hoeppner; her daughter-in-law Stephanie; her two much beloved grandchildren, Christopher and Alex; and equally as much so by her niece Rosalie Main; her family David and Ashley; and her extended remaining Herzog and Hoeppner family; her former neighbours (who were above and beyond lovely to her and Dad, especially in their later years); and her close friends, especially Irene Hill, who has been best friends with her since childhood. She also will be, we are sure, fondly remembered by her friends at St. Giles Presbyterian Church; and at her final home, the Bow View Manor.
Lorraine was predeceased by her adoring husband of over 60 years, David Roger Hoeppner Sr. (Hap), who was no doubt waiting eagerly for Mom to come home and join him.
A funeral service in memory of Lorraine will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY (Chapel of the Bells, 2720 Centre Street North, Calgary, AB), on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Graveside service to follow at Queen's Park Cemetery where she will forever rejoin Dad, and then a final hurrah at her old home at 3451 Upton Place, NW.
Condolences may be forwarded through www.McInnisandHolloway.com.
She asked that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made instead, and we can think of no better place than the Brenda Strafford Society, which runs the Bow View Manor, and to St. Giles Presbyterian Church, both in Calgary: institutions that both kindly and lovingly contributed to an increased quality of life and a source of comfort to her in her last years.
A tree will be planted in living memory of Lorraine Hoeppner.

Condolences & Memories (2 entries)
David and Stephanie and family, I am so sorry to learn of the passing of your dear Mom/Mom-in-Law/Grandma. I have wonderful memories of my phone conversations with Aunty Lorraine and she never hesitated to share her feelings of love and pride for/of all of you! She had a huge heart, and cared deeply for many and freely gave of her time to help any who needed her help. She spoke frequently of her dear neighbors and many good friends - but, family always came first (particularly, her grandsons!). She is missed already - but, Uncle Dave and all the Hoeppners who have gone before her, will be celebrating her arrival in her eternal heavenly home. Please take good care! You are all in my prayers! - Posted by: Sherry Heppner (Niece) on: Nov 16, 2019
I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Auntie Lorraine. I haven't seen her since my dad's funeral but she was loved very much. I remember when she and her husband Dave would come to visit us in Morden when we were little. There was lots of visiting and laughter at those times. Rest in peace Auntie. - Posted by: Deborah Kotnik (Hoeppner) (Niece) on: Nov 16, 2019
