Aunty Roz and Uncle Meyer were lifelong friends of my mom Marion and dad Benny Silverman. We called them aunts and uncles then. Roz and Meyer were incredibly special among my folks' friends. Roz always took time to discuss the world and ideas with me whether I was 6 or 66. I adored her perspective, her quick intelligence, generosity and love of books, music and Yiddish. We shared a sense of humour about the quirky things that happened at the little synagogue we attended, and to which she contributed so much. The same moments happened at the Shaftsbury when I visited there. She was indeed an extraordinary person and I am sad to hear this news. I send my condolences to her children and family.
