IDA RUBY HENDRY
(nee DERKSEN)
August 7, 1930 - November 17, 2019

Our mother, Ida Hendry, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 17, 2019, with her daughters, Terri and Dawn, by her side at Health Sciences Centre.
Ida will be sadly missed by her daughters, Terri and Dawn; brothers, Bill (Liz), Bob (Gail) and John, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.
She married Dad (Russell) on April 24, 1954. Mom worked as a nurse's aide at Middlechurch Home. Mom's final year she resided in Woodlands and enjoyed her time spent with her new friends at Oak Park Estates. She was very proud of her suite.
As per Mom's wishes no funeral service will take place and cremation has taken place.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, 1379 Kenaston Blvd., Winnipeg, MB R3P 2T5.
Thank you to the ambulance, Stars Ambulance, as well as the doctors, nurses and aides of Stonewall Hospital and Health Sciences Centre.

  • Sincere condolences to Terri and Dawn. I know how close you were to your Mom. Aunt Ida always greeted you with a big smile and was happy to see you. We're so glad we got to see her last summer at the family reunion. I'll always remember our family get togethers with your family, especially at Christmas time.   • Terri and Dawn so sorry that your mom has passed I have so many fond memories of our childhood growing up with your family the many camping trips and vacations that your mom and dad took me on as part of your family even though over the years we never saw much of each other I still had you guys in my heart and memories. I will never forget your mom or your dad as I considered them as my second parents. Hope you girls are making out ok in this time of sadness, forever in my heart.
