ALAN ABBOTT
Dad was born July 11, 1933 in Neepawa, Manitoba, and was an only child to Sam and Minnie.
Dad worked hard his whole life, taking over the family farm in Brookdale until 1955; he was then employed with U.G.G. until 1964. Moving to Transcona in 1964, Dad worked in the trucking industry until 1974, followed by his employment with the Department of Highways until his retirement in 1995.
Dad leaves behind his wife Doris; children, John (Eleanor), Bev, Donna; granddaughter Amanda; great-granddaughter Emily, and numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place and as Dad wished, he will be laid to rest in Neepawa, MB.

I have known the family since birth and remember fondly Mr. Abbott. He would take Donna and I for rides around the block in his truck. I am so sorry to hear that he has passed away but hope you remember all the wonderful memories you have shared.
