CATHERINE EDITH MORLEY
(MORRISON)
September 17, 1943 – November 27, 2019

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Cathy Morley on November 27, 2019, at the age of 76.
Cathy was predeceased by her parents, Norman and Edith Morrison, and her brother Donald Morrison. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 57 years, Walter; her children, Rob, Doug, Lisa and Fred, Dan and Suzanne; grandchildren, Larah, Justin, Cody, Amanda, Eric, Andrew, Sarah, and Matthew; great-grandchildren, Daelin and Audrey; brother Norman Morrison; and her fur baby Skeeter, along with extended family and many friends.
Cathy was born in Moosomin, SK and moved to Winnipeg in her early years. She spent her life dedicated to her family and will always be remembered as a kind-hearted and compassionate woman who filled her home with all the love a family could ever need. Cathy loved to bake and enjoyed sharing her baking with others. Her fondest days were spent at the cottage at Twin Lakes Beach where she and Walter developed life-long friendships with their neighbours. She loved to reminisce about Twin Lakes, both its beauty by nature, as well as all the good times and cherished memories made there with family and friends.
As per Cathy's wishes, she will be cremated and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Alzheimer Society of Manitoba or CancerCare Manitoba Foundation.

Mom we love you and will miss you deeply but know that you will never be forgotten.

  • I met Cathy on her walks with her fur baby and we would stop and chat. She was a friendly person and will miss our chats about family and our pets. - Posted by: ANGIE lyons (Friend) on: Nov 30, 2019

  • I have many fond memories of time spent with Cathy at one of our homes chatting on the front step while our children played in the front yard, and at the lake her most favorite place. Most of all I remember her kind and generous heart. She was always willing to share. I have one memory of her lending me an outfit she had never worn so I would have something new for the Firefighters Ball. She never forgot a birthday or anniversary of anyone in the neighborhood and I'm sure there were many more that I'm not aware of. She loved her husband and children/grandchildren without condition, they were her life. Rest in peace dear friend, you will never be forgotten. - Posted by: Ellie Krahn (Friend & Neighbor) on: Nov 30, 2019
