It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother at the age of 84, surrounded by her loving family.
Jeannette will be sadly missed and forever cherished by her loving children: Simone Beaudet (Jim Christie), Rose-Marie Devigne (Richard), Claude (Colleen), Maurice (Barb); her grandchildren: Real (Suzanne), Philip, Celine (Nick), Monique (Jimmy), Brigitte, Jeanine (Miguel), Robert (Pam), Michelle (Brian), Matthew (Jen), Patrick, Tom (Sashia), Marcia (Kevin), as well as numerous great-grandchildren. Jeannette also leaves her sister Henriette Lloyd; brothers, Marcel (Betty), Roland (Reava), and many nieces and nephews.
Jeannette was predeceased by her husband of 57 years, Michel; and her parents, Raymond and Elida Gauthier, as well as five sisters and four brothers.
Mom was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved nothing more than to have her family around her. The more around the happier she was.
Mom was the matriarch of the family and was loved by anyone who was fortunate enough to meet her. You could always depend on her for guidance and direction.
Mom was also very hard working! She raised four children while running a restaurant with Dad and later working at St. Amant Centre for many years. A job she loved as she had patience and a loving heart!
A better babysitter could not be found! The grandchildren loved spending time at memere's house.
Thank you to the staff at Grace Hospital for their warm and compassionate care.
Celebration of Life will be presided by Father Bongo on Saturday, December 7 at St. Eugene Parish, 1007 St. Mary's Rd. Viewing at 10:00 a.m. followed by Mass at 10:30 a.m. Reception and interment will follow at Green Acres on Highway No. 1.
In lieu of flowers, please donate to Kidney Foundation of Canada.

  • McTante Jeannette was always thoughtful no matter who you were, always anxious to hear your story and always a good listener. She was the background organizer doing all the little details that no one would ever think it needed to be done. She was kind, understanding and rarely passed judgement upon anyone who approached her. Knowing how to do all the little things very well will be remembered by her family as a legacy. - Posted by: Denis & Diane Levaseur (Nephew & Niece-in-law) on: Dec 07, 2019
