Condolences & Memories (12 entries)

  • I will miss you Karen. I so enjoyed working with you through the years at Norquay and Niji Mahkwa Schools. We had a lot of fun and good conversations. You were such a blessing to your mom, dad, family, co-workers and everyone else that had the pleasure of you being in their life. You were so hard working and so willing to help where ever you could. I was wondering why I didn't see you at bingo anymore, Karen you had the most beautiful smile and your eyes would just sparkle when you laughed that contagious laugh of yours. Till we meet again my friend, rest in paradise. - Posted by: Joanne McNabb (co-worker) on: Jan 14, 2020

  • We just received the news of Karen's passing today. Karen was a friendly, wonderful lady that shopped at our store frequently(loved the popcorn) and is missed dearly. We did notice her absence however, didn't know until today when her sister came in. We're shocked and we will miss her friendly smile and chats about our sports teams. Our deepest condolences to her family. - Posted by: Staff from Family Foods (Friends) on: Jan 02, 2020

  • In the 1968 Olympics Bob Beamon had a world record long jump of 29' 2.5 inches. Karen and I were sports buddies in school and we measured out that distance in the hallway of Tec Voc School. We were both impressed and amazed. It is a lovely memory to have of Karen, she was a kind and giving person. Condolences to her family and friends. - Posted by: Leslie Hemphill (High school friend) on: Dec 14, 2019

  • I was sad to hear of Karen's departure. She was always so bubbly and happy. Even though she watched what she ate, I can remember when she was young and very active, she could put away a 15 inch pizza by herself. It is an old cliché, but the world was a better place with her in it…and now heaven will be too. - Posted by: James Wick (friend) on: Dec 08, 2019
