With profound sadness we announce Casey's passing on Tuesday, December 3, 2019, at the age of 55, just three days after a devastating diagnosis of pancreatic cancer.
He will be forever missed by his spouse, Marilyn Allan; sons, Austin (Heidi) and Mathias (Brielle); his father Harry; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins as well as Marilyn's family.
Casey was predeceased by his mother, Florence, in 2011.
He was one of a kind. Casey lived for his boys and took great pride in their accomplishments, wanting only the best for them. He spent 29 years working for Costco. He was most recently a comp shopper and boy, could he find the deals. The trailer at Spruce Sands was his escape and trips to surrounding areas on his motorcyle made it even better.
Casey didn't want a formal funeral so we will celebrate his life with friends and family at the lake this summer.

"Love you til Tuesday, honey."

Condolences & Memories (4 entries)

  • I grew up with Casey back in the day on McGee Street and as we moved we lost touch over the years. I returned home after traveling the world for a decade and low and behold I run into an awesome old friend like Casey at Costco of all places. We picked up where we left off and were genuinely excited to see each other when our paths crossed. A quick smile/hug and joke and then 10 minutes of talking each others ears off was the norm. I had brothers with places at Spruce Sands and we had an opportunity to share some good times with Casey as well. I remember seeing him and having an awesome discussion at his mom's funeral and him telling me he didn't want a funeral. He wanted me to remember him as we were and for his friendship I am eternally grateful. - Posted by: Gerald Preyma (Friend) on: May 20, 2020

  • I first met Casey at Costco many years ago when I was still actively bodybuilding and competing on the world stage in Europe. Casey was always interested in my competition and we would always talk about the countries that I competed in and what I saw while there. I will always miss our 5 -10 min conversations I will miss a good friend. - Posted by: Tom Heffner (Friend) on: Dec 10, 2019

  • We have known Casey since day one of Costco. A lot of funny memories. Eating at buffets with him without getting kicked out was a challenge.. my daughter was 2 and she would call him doughhead. Not sure why.. lol. We may have not stayed close but always had a chance to say hi. Touch base and exchange how the kids are doing. We are so shocked that we have to say goodbye to another Costco friend. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time. • Sincerest condolences from all the staff at the Wholesale Club. So sorry to hear of his sudden passing. Casey was a fixture at our store conducting his weekly price checks. He made many connections with the colleagues here, always making time to share a story or a quick laugh. Our thoughts go out to his family. He will be missed but remembered by all of us here. - Posted by: Kris Delbaere (Friend) on: Dec 10, 2019
