JOYCE CARPENTER
(nee WILSON)
July 14, 1955 - December 3, 2019
Joyce is lovingly remembered by her mother Mildred, daughters, Danielle and Carla; sister Betty-Anne (Dennis); brothers, Dale (Kathy) and Robert (Heather), nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and many cousins. She was predeceased by her loving husband James (Jim) and her father Ray.
Born in Swan River, MB to a large extended family, Joyce spent her early years attending school in Durban, Alpine and Benito
Joyce will forever be remembered as a loving and friendly soul, with a smile for all she met. She loved spending time with family and friends, hosting dinners, settling down to a family crib match, and long chats over coffee. Joyce and Jim loved date nights, weekends away and took much joy from the little great-nieces and great-nephews in their life. An employee of Eaton's and later Winnipeg Transit, where she met her husband Jim, Joyce loved the comradeship of her co-workers and thrived working with the public.
A special thanks to the Grace Hospital staff.
Flowers are gratefully declined; a donation may be made to the Grace Hospital Foundation or Diabetes Canada, if desired.
Cremation has taken place, and a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held in the New Year.

My condolences to the family in the loss of Joyce. I have known Joyce for probably 30 years through my husband. In Joyce's latter years, I saw her love for her husband Jim and her family. As you transition through these dark days, may you seek comfort in God and family and friends. My prayers are with you. - Posted by: Roberta Scott-Herridge (Friend) on: Jan 01, 2020
