• I just wanted to send a BIG thank you for all the wonderful comments and memories of my Dad. He was truly wonderful to me and I will miss him so much. It is wonderful to see that he touched so many people in his life- this brings me great happiness that he had all of you. He loved his work and connecting with others. • To quote the late American poet and author Maya Angelou, "people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel." Reflecting on Al's passing, these words kept coming to mind - and, when you read the many tributes, it is clear why. Everyone at the Canada Revenue Agency ("CRA") knew and loved Al. He was a wonderful man, who always had a smile on his face, and exuded kindness, warmth, and happiness. Every day, as each of us would leave the CRA building, Al would always wish us "a good night," "a great weekend," or "a safe ride home." His positive attitude was infectious and lit up the lives of everyone he came into contact with. In short, Al made each of us at the CRA feel valued and special. Al, we miss you and will never forget you. My deepest condolences to the Balak family. His gesture of addressing each and every person that entered and left the building each day may have seemed small to him but it is obvious how much he affected all of these people.
