ALDINA CUNHA
She was predeceased by her husband Aires da Cunha.
Aldina was born in Porto Formoso, Sao Miguel, Azores, on September 5, 1936 and was the youngest of 14 children. Mom will always be remembered for her generosity, her humour and her wit. She was a gracious person who always had an open door, and was an outstanding cook who could whip up any traditional Portuguese recipe to perfection. Our mom's greatest joy and fulfillment in life was her husband and her family, she loved us all dearly.
Mom leaves to cherish in her memory, her children, Graca (Antonino), Anabela (Henrique), Luzia (Luis), and Joao (Yvette). Grandchildren, Robert (Julia), Chris (Kristyn), Sean (Marina), Matthew (Katrina), Jennifer (Jordan), Dillon, and Meagan. Great- grandchildren, Natalie, Leo, and Joseph. Siblings, Augusto and Almerinda, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, December 18 at 10:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 181 Austin St. N. Interment to follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue W.
Our family would like to thank the wonderful staff at St. Boniface Hospital palliative care unit and Grace Hospice for the excellent care they provided to our mom.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Aldina's memory to Grace Hospital Foundation, 300 Booth Drive, Winnipeg MB R3J 3M7, 204-837-0375.

Myron and I and our girls (Koree and Kirby) are very saddened to hear of the passing of Aldina.. Aldina baby sat our girls over 30 years ago now. I remember dropping them off in the morning and when picking them up in the afternoon, I could not recognize them. Aldina had them all combed , not a hair out of place, clean and with BIG smiles on their faces Myron and I knew the care they were receiving was the best. Aldina fed them so well. all I had to do was put them to sleep shortly after as Aldina did all the rest. Aldina not only looked after our girls but after her husband who also loved our girls like his own.(rest in peace) Aldina, it is now your time to enjoy receiving all the love and attention that you gave others. You had been a wonderful care giver and we are very sorry to hear of your passing. Anna and Henry ,Chris and Sean and Lucy (and their families) our deepest sympathy go out to you. Aldina has been in our hearts for ever and will always remain their. with love and friendship Judy, Myron, Koree, and Kirby Cote - Posted by: Judy and Myron Cote (friend) on: Feb 21, 2020

We are so deeply sorry for your loss. Aldina stole our hearts 17yrs ago when we moved next door to her & Aries. She loved on us so very well, right from the start. There are so many sweet memories with her that we will carry with us forever. From having tea with her on her front door steps, to calling the kids over from playing to give them a little treat, to opening a jar for her or changing a lightbulb, or to answer her knock on our door with a hot pot of soup for us. We were completely blessed to have her as our neighbor. We grieve with you... - Posted by: The Rey Family (Neighbors) on: Dec 17, 2019
