JOSEPH GASTON MARCEL LEBLANC
September 21, 1940 - December 14, 2019
He leaves to mourn his daughters, Sheila (Terry) and Corinne (Steve), and grand-children, Carly, Scott and Kelsey. Marcel also leaves to mourn his sisters and brothers, Denyse, Jacques, Georges, Yves, Pierre and Louise; sisters-in-law, Micheline, Ghislaine and Danielle; and brother-in-law Larry, as well as generations of many nieces and nephews. Marcel was predeceased by his wife Joyce, parents, Yvonne and Alfred Leblanc, brother Armand, brother-in-law Camille and sister-in-law Lina.
Marcel was born in Parisville, QC but lived in Winnipeg since 1966. He accomplished many feats and achievements. Marcel loved to travel, and tell a joke. He had a sense of humour like no other.
"That man is a success -
who has lived well, laughed often
and loved much;
who has gained the respect of intelligent
men and the love of children;
who has filled his niche and
accomplished his task;
who leaves the world better than he found it;
who has never lacked appreciation of earth's beauty or failed to express it;
who looked for the best in others and
gave the best he had."
As per Marcel's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial of his life will be had at a later date with his family in Quebec.

I personal worked with Marcel in Corrections Canada from 1975 till he retired. I also used to go on our Lake of the Woods fishing trips and Marcel along with my wife gone on many trips abroad. Marcel has a gift with me. He was always able to make me laugh. He was an awesome staff member, friend and most importantly a good example of what a Canadian citizen should be like. I was so honoured to have known him, worked with and travelled with. Marcel Lunda and I will miss you. God be with you and your family RIP brother and my friend. - Posted by: Frank Filbert (Co-worker and very proud to say a friend) on: May 29, 2020

I had the pleasure of being with Marcel for a lot of years playing ball for BACM. He was a fine pitcher but also great teacher of the game he loved. I learned a lot from him and thank him for all the knowledge and also all the fun times. He always used his humour to help us get through tough times. God Bless all his family. - Posted by: Marcy Beaucage (Baseball teammate ) on: Feb 13, 2020
