• Disliked by my parents from a very young age, Merville tried her best for me to know, be and feel loved. As everyone had their place to be while we watched TV, Merville always had a spot for me beside her. Merville was the most humble of persons and that she asked for no funeral doesn’t surprise me. Merville was a devout Catholic and prayed everyday and went to Church every Sunday. I know she is with God and can watch over me again. We lost touch when my Mother fired her without any consideration of our built relationship or it was maybe because of this relationship she was let go from one day to the next & Merville disappeared. I moved far away from the unhappy home in 1992 and always remembered my Merville. With her humility she never imposed herself again in my life. Merville was a living Angel, a Queen. • Merville lived with my family when I was young, before I was in school, and she was studying nursing. I remember she would count for us while we were skipping in the front yard but it wasn't an actual count it was counting as fast as she could and we would get a much higher number. Her encouragement and excitement at our accomplishments was so kind and generous. She was a very loving and hard working woman. I'm sorry to learn that she is no longer with us.
