  • I spent 3 and a bit years working everyday with Sean while he lived in the Newton home, I was his daily support worker, I would arrive at him home and take him to work each day. Sean and I would have a blast listing to Garth Brooks on the way to his work placement. The thing I loved the most about spending the day with Sean was the constant hugs he would give me especially the ones I was not expecting. When I first started working with Sean it was almost impossible to take him to Walmart with out some trouble as Sean did not like going to Walmart however by the end of my work time with Sean we were able to go in an out of Walmart with no issues. What a wonderful accomplishment for both Sean and myself. After I moved on to a new job, I often wondered about Sean and how he was doing. I tried to visit him often (mostly at St Amant work placement) and through connections with staff at Newton I was able to hear about how he was doing. When I received the information about Sean's passing instant tears came to my eyes. I am so sorry to the Bodner family for you loss of a wonderful, sweet, loving young man. I will remember him always. Charlene Normand - Posted by: Charlene Normand (Support Worker) on: Jan 03, 2020

  • I worked one on one with Shaun at Gordon Bell High School for a few years prior to him moving to another school outside of the division. He warmed the hearts of many people throughout the entire School. Weather charming the secretaries into sharing their treats, or performing Garth Brooks in the hallways - Shaun had a way of putting a smile on everyone's face. My deepest sympathy to the family during this difficult time. Thinking of you both Paulette and Wade. - Posted by: Brent Oliver (Educational Assistant ) on: Jan 02, 2020
