JUDITH HUDEY
Judy is survived by her husband Gary, her two sons, Ryan (Ashley), Trevor (Kirsten), grandsons, Jaxen and Carter, her brother Gerry (Eva), numerous relatives and friends.
She was predeceased by her parents, Joyce and Frank Troughton.
Born in Winnipeg in 1951, to Frank and Joyce Troughton, Judy was the youngest of two children. Here, Judy graduated high school, worked at the Legion and in 1969, she met the love of her life Gary Hudey. They were married September 8, 1973 and decided to move to Winnipeg to start the next chapter in their lives.
In July of 1981, Judy and Gary welcomed their first born son, Ryan Raymond. Then, in July of 1986 they were blessed with their
second son Trevor Aaron. Judy, Gary and the boys resided in Winnipeg, where Judy worked at the Taxation Centre and for Canada Post. Judy loved children and took great pleasure in her volunteer work as the President of
Maples Community Centre, with Sport
Manitoba (during the 1999 Pan Am games) and with the Seven Oaks Optimist Club.
Their 46 year marriage was filled with love, fond memories and travel. Judy was a wonderful and loving wife and mother. She went above and beyond to take care of the needs of her family. One of her greatest joys was when she found out that she was going to be a grandmother (a.k.a Baba) and she loved her grandchildren dearly.
She will be remembered for her kind warm-hearted spirit, her infectious smile and great sense of humour. Though faced with many medical challenges, Judy battled every obstacle with warrior-strength and an
optimistic outlook. She had an immense
impact on the lives of all who knew her.
The family would like to express their
sincere gratitude to the staff of the 5th floor at Deer Lodge Centre. Their compassion and support throughout the last six and a half years is truly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
As per her wishes, no formal service will be held. Judy will be buried in a family plot at St. John's Cemetery.
Though we miss you dearly, you are now free. Rest easy Jude! Till we meet again . . .

My Mom and Dad, Marion and Bill Eisler, were great Friends of Joyce and Frank Troughton, Judy's Mom and Dad. Judy's Brother Gerry, Judy, and myself and my siblings, met through our adventures at Belair and beyond. Judy, the younger, is in my memory with her smiles and humour. Gary - So shocked to hear of Judy's passing. I was just thinking about her the other day! Many good memories when she and I worked at the School Board office. But the most fun were all the Rummoli games we use to play. My deepest sympathy. - Posted by: Angie Kaufmann (nee: Multan) (friend/former co-worker) on: Jan 05, 2020
