I am so sorry this is so late, I only just found out about Val’s passing. Condolences to everyone involved. I got to know Val after her and Gerry moved to Minnedosa from the north. She started up clogging classes and I joined, not having a clue what clogging was. She was a remarkable and patient teacher, most of her group stayed with her for the duration of their stay in Minnedosa, almost ten years, we had such great times, practicing and performing. I’m sure she and Gerry are enjoying being together once again. - Posted by: Diana Clarke, Minnedosa, Manitoba (friend, clogging student) on: Dec 01, 2021

Sincere condolences to Val’s family. She always spoke so highly of her daughters, was so proud of all of your achievements. I am blessed to have had her in my life for the winter months in Yuma AZ. Still a shock that she doesn’t walk past our house every night or that I cannot pop in on her anytime for visits. I brought a card to our jam sessions and had it signed by many people who knew her through the music whether they were musicians or spectators and I will forward it on for the family to the Funeral Home. - Posted by: Debbie Dixon (Friend and former guitar student) on: Jan 12, 2020

To all of you and your families, my deepest condolences. I was so shocked on Friday when Ev let us know at Friday golf. Your mother was a big part of our Yuma group. I am so very happy that she did come out with us once this season. Thoughts and prayers with you all. - Posted by: Claire Carr (Friend) on: Jan 08, 2020
