SADIE (SARAH) MCDANIEL
(nee BUHLER)
Sadie was born January 31, 1925 as the fourth of 17 children of John and Nettie Buhler in the RM of Rhineland, Manitoba. While attending Winnipeg Bible College, Sadie met and married a handsome Irishman, Howard McDaniel. Sadie delighted in the seven children that followed over the next 13 years.
Sadie was predeceased by her loving husband Howard in 2013, and is survived by her seven children, 18 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and nine siblings.
Sadie's life was characterized by an unwavering faith, an intense work ethic, and love for her family. The family savoured Sadie's home-made buns, pies, doughnuts, and chicken and dumpling dinners. Sadie worked for the Billy Graham Association in later life, which included a trip to Minneapolis where Sadie met Billy Graham himself. Sadie served her family, her church and her community faithfully and found time for prayer and bible study as shown by her many prayer lists and her worn bibles. Sadie loved anything green and growing and spent hours in her vegetable, berry and flower gardens.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 10, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Maranatha Evangelical Free Church on 910 Sturgeon Road, followed by a light lunch.

Our first memory of Sadie (and Howard) takes us back to family camp at Gimli Bible Camp in the early nineteen eighties. They were always so cheerful and encouraging., and wholeheartedly entered into the camp activities. They were always at CSSM annual meeting banquets, and supportive of the ministry. How wonderful the assurance that they are now in the very presence of Jesus, and each other. We are praying for the family. - Posted by: Orval & Georgetta Janz (Friends) on: Jan 12, 2020
