ETHEL CHOCH
She is survived by her children, son Ken (Irena), daughter Rita (Isak); three grandchildren, Melanie (Vince), Michelle, and Michael, and three great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind many relatives in Canada and Israel.
Ethel was warm hearted and generous in spirit, always sharing her love and light with friends and family near and far. She was a strong matriarch with a nurturing nature. In her life she exhibited determination and an ability to adapt to new countries and cultures, marked by learning many languages. She fostered and maintained long standing relationships around the world and was a touchstone for tradition and connection for her family.
Her funeral will be held on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Chesed Shel Emes at 1:00 p.m. at 1023 Main Street.

I live in Vancouver almost 10 years now, but try to keep track of my birth city of Winnipeg. I want to offer my deepest sympathy to Ken, Rita and all your family on the loss of your beloved mother ,grandmother and great-grandmother Ethel (Z"L"). She was a very sweet and lovely person, and I feel a connection to your family also through my Vainstein family who knew them from Russia. May her memory be for a blessing!!!
