STEVE DIDYK

In loving memory of Steve Didyk, husband, brother, father, uncle, Bapa and dear friend to many. He was born on March 20, 1937 in Poplarfield, Manitoba. He passed away, surrounded by his family, at Rockyview Hospital in Calgary on the afternoon of January 7, 2020, at the age of 82 years old.
Steve lived an extraordinary life and saw the world the hard way (through his work), including living in Greenland working on the DEW line. He often regaled his family with stories of his adventures and we all admired him for the wisdom that he so generously shared with us. His absence will be difficult for all of us, but we take solace in the fact that his proudest achievement was his family that he cared for so deeply. He will live on in our fond memories forever.
Steve is survived by his loving wife Elaine, his two daughters, Laura (husband Brian) and Susan (husband Wellington), his four granddaughters, Kaitlyn, McCall, Paige and Sienna, and his sister Elizabeth.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation at https://stbhf.ca.
