Condolences & Memories (5 entries)

  • I think it was 1969 that I first became part of the O'Dell clan. There was Mom & Dad (Emily & Ed) with their kids Curtis & Melanie. Merilyn was married by then. It was amazing having a "Big Brother & a "Little Sister" too. I still laugh thinking about Curt standing on his head drinking a beer at the many parties we had. Curtis was a fun person to hang around with. Many of his friends became my friends. Sadly time goes on and for many reasons we lost touch. We connected again long distance March of 2019 sometimes texting 10 times a day plus phone calls. I encouraged him to fight, applauded his good days and cried together on his bad ones. We reminisced about some of the stupid things we had done that were so much fun. We spoke on the phone many times when texting was too exhausting for him. Our last text was On the 6th. Usually he texted almost every night a good night cartoon. None that night. I get still thinking I should check my phone to see if he has texted. Breathe easy "Sunny Bubbles". You were loved & I miss you already. So happy we shared so many memories. - Posted by: Debbie Rettaler (foster sister ) on: Jan 17, 2020
