Mr. Willems was my math teacher at Neelin High. I struggled with the material, he did not. He offered to stay after school to assist me. While I did problems at the blackboard he graded papers, he coached me and would eat his apple, to the stem. He was one of many educators who took me under their wing. Thank you, Mr. Willems for your knowledge and thank you for showing a genuine interest in me as a person. You are forever a defining "moment" in my life. - Posted by: Arthur Werner (former student) on: Jan 13, 2021

My deepest condolences to the Willems family. Mr and Mrs Willems made me feel like one of the family, back when Ruth and I were childhood friends. Although I am unable to attend the funeral, please know that my heart is with all of you at this time. Love, Marion Conley (Kalushka) - Posted by: Marion Conley (Friend) on: Jan 11, 2020
