PIERRE (PUTT) JOSEPH BEAUDRY

Peacefully, surrounded by his family, Putt (Pierre) Beaudry passed away the morning of January 8, 2020.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife and best friend, Louise (née Savoie); his children, Pierre (Tammy Wurtak), Natalie (Andy Stanger) and Justin (Natalie Courcelles) and the pride of his life, his eight grandchildren, Sophie, Jeremy, Cashton, Sarah, Abigail, Amélie, Benoit, and Cabrel.
Putt will be missed by the extended Beaudry and Savoie families, as well as his many friends and acquaintances.
He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Marie-Paule Beaudry; his in-laws, Gérard and Marie Savoie; his three brothers, his nephew, and his son Denis.
Putt carved out his own path: he started a moving company, Putt's Transfer, as a justification to have nice trucks with chrome wheels to polish which he enjoyed doing for over 40 years. He employed many young men who not only worked but also benefited from his endless commitment to pass on his knowledge of life, love, business and drinking coffee. The business continues to grow today, now owned by his nephew Jacques.
Putt lived life to the fullest, thrived on the relationships he built and was a rebel to many. Putt's infectious laugh and joie de vivre enabled him to strike up conversations with anyone whether at a truck stop, in a market in Mexico, on a beach in Portugal or at Tim Hortons.
His faith and loving friends and family helped him through the last two months of his life his way: an endless bonfire, a beer or GM, countless stories and laughs to the very end.

"To know Putt is to love him."

A sincere thanks to the staff and medical team at Riverview and his doctors.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 16, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at Mary Mother of the Church, 85 Kirkbridge Dr.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Manitoba Riding for the Disabled.

  • I had the good fortune to get to know "Pete" in my college years and will always remember him for his quick wit , joking and clowning around all the while being a serious listener, I regret not reconnecting with him and am very pleased he was able to strike out on his own using his values of honesty and sincerity to create a recognizable, profitable and enduring company and life for himself and his family. • Diane and I own a cottage in Plage Albert. This is where we met Putt and Louise. They quickly became good acquaintances. Putt was always around to help or just talk while we enjoyed a coffee or a good beer. Though we will not be able to attend the funeral please know Louise and family that you are in our thoughts and prayers. (Bernard and Diane) - Posted by: Bernard Gagne (Friend) on: Jan 14, 2020
